Checking In

This weekend has been great so far. I have confirmed that the rather unique release of DJ Responsibility's Formalism will occur this April. I'll be scouting locations for an installation tomorrow and starting to write some press releases. The album is seven tracks long and features a few local musicians: tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE, Nathan Hall, Kerrith Livengood, Ben Harris, and Brandon Masterman. Those last four + me also make up Vocal Assembly, who has a modified version of a piece called "Hard Music" on the album.

A Look Back at Vale and Year

The Equalizer and Events

During the 26" of snow we received this weekend, I was able to finish two short videos.  The first is basically a document of the massive amounts of snow.  The second is a new idea that I am trying out - er, rather, it is based on an old idea by Merce Cunningham and his "Events" dance.  I wanted to set up a series of small, quick experiments to see the result.  Ultimately, my choices will reflect certain aesthetics or desired outcomes, but I tried to keep out of it.  Some of these "events" have little effect on the artwork produced, some have a larger result.
